In the past 3 months there appears to have been a consistent rise in the number of women now on Google+. Google Plus statistics for Sept 2011 show that about 43% of Google Plus users are now female, with 57% being male.
I was keen to see if there has been any rise in the number of women on Google Plus since I last checked the statistics, as I was lucky enough to be invited to join quite early on, which is when I started to look at the ratio of males:females on Google Plus. Back in July 2011, at the height of the new buzz surrounding this new social platform, it was estimated (Mashable’s article, as of 14 July 2011 ), that the number of female users was somewhere between 25-33%. There was some initial alarm expressed by some experts at the lack of women.
So, it appears we’re catching you up, guys!
