I was proud to have been asked to provide the VoiceOver and narrate a series of videos for Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia charity. The videos have just been launched on the Department of Health’s website, in order to provide background to the G8 Dementia Summit, which took place today, headed by Prime Minister David Cameron.
The Cambridge-based charity, winners of the Charity Times Award 2013, produced a series of 3 slideshow videos:
The first slideshow looks at the history of dementia and research, from the discovery of dementia to where we find ourselves today.
The second slideshow presents some of the latest thinking from research experts on how we can develop new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
The final slideshow highlights the importance of global collaboration to give us the best chance of defeating dementia.
The videos can be seen on the Dept of Health‘s website here: http://dementiachallenge.dh.gov.uk/2013/12/10/alzheimersresearchslideshows/
